I didn't read this when I posted. I've seen it first hand. As soon as that water hits the magical 60 degree temp you can catch them off anything, including top water.
Rugerdog, if your planning a trip the best time would be the day of a full moon in the summer. Plan on fishing all night long because you will have non stop action.
