Congrats to Nor-tah for winning. I am out. Had our healthy baby girl on the 12th which made me cancel my last two planned trips to DC and MM. I probably wouldn't have taken the lead anyways. It is hard to complain with a healthy baby and getting very busy with work. I am still hoping to take the BFT tourny if I can sneak a trip to the gorge.

It was fun. Congrats to everyone for their nice catches and the close competition. Maybe next year ...

I know the feeling I was going to head to mill on Sunday but after fishing all day Saturday trying to break the rainbow tie the biggest I got was 17 1/2. My wife asked me why are you going to drive 3 1/2 hours spend 50 dollars in gas and go by yourself on valentines day for a chance to make $85. Plus if you don't and get all perch you are going to be livid and I got the guilt trip for going on v-day. I slept in and stayed home. I had numerous offers of people wanting to give me a trout to photograph and intel on where to get a good brown river fishing that I could "mock up" as caught on the ice and win. I wouldn't feel right about winning that way so congrats to fixed and nortah this year! We all might have a shot next year because Nortah might be moving to AZ but I still think he could whop us all. I sent some suggestions to fixed on how it might be a more fair way to run the contest next year we will see if he implements them!

Thanks to all who played and pushed us to fish hard this whole ice season!!! Pretty amazing that it came down to under two inches in the end. Jacksonman, congrats to you and your addition to the family. Happy to hear that all went well!

I had a blast and am beyond burned out with staring down an ice hole for hours on end. Its about caused me a divorce. Finished up today in the Uintah Basin with some of my closest friends, and although it was an awesome day, I am glad this is over. I wont be joining next year as I will be moving out of state so good luck to all who play. NOW BRING ON THE SOFT WATER!!!!!

It has been fun watching everyone's ice fishing pics and reports. Congrats to the winners and those who got out and had fun. This was my first year to get out and do some ice fishing and although it was a lot tougher than I thought it would be, I had fun. Looking forward to ice-off and summer and fall fishing from here on out.
